Implications of anesthetic techniques on cardiocirculatory stability in laparoscopic cholecystectomy

چکیده

Background and Aim: The aim of the present study was to compare effect volatile induction maintenance anesthesia (VIMA) target controlled infusion (TCI) on cardiovascular stability in New York Heart Association (NYHA) grade II patients who underwent laparoscopic cholecystectomy. Patients methods: In study, 90 were randomized into two groups depending whether they received VIMA or TCI. rate, systolic, diastolic mean arterial pressure monitored continuously recorded five time intervals. Results: Statistical analysis showed that with sevoflurane provides better cardiocirculatory (less than 10% deviation from basal values for each measured parameter) TCI group (p < 0.01). Conclusion: Volatile hemodynamic NYHA concomitant diseases compared

[Implications of anesthetic techniques on patients' recovery in laparoscopic cholecystectomy].

BACKGROUND/AIM Different techniques of general anesthesia are used for laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC). The aim of the study was to establish the best anesthetic technique for achieving better results during awakening affecting not only patient's recovery, but activities of anesthesiological team, as well. METHODS The study was conducted as a prospective comparative clinical trial. The pati...

Anesthetic Management for Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy

Laparoscopic surgery aims to minimize trauma of the interventional process but still ach‐ ieve a satisfactory therapeutic result. It is commonly performed because of various advan‐ tages such as reduced postoperative pain, faster recovery and more rapid return to normal activities, shorter hospital stay, and reduced postoperative pulmonary complications. The operative technique requires inflati...

Anesthetic implications of laparoscopic surgery.

Minimally invasive therapy aims to minimize the trauma of any interventional process but still achieve a satisfactory therapeutic result. The development of "critical pathways," rapid mobilization and early feeding have contributed towards the goal of shorter hospital stay. This concept has been extended to include laparoscopic cholecystectomy and hernia repair. Reports have been published conf...

Cardiocirculatory Effects of Laparoscopic Surgery

Most studies investigating the cardiovascular changes associated with laparoscopic surgery report an increase in systemic vascular resistance (SVR), mean arterial blood pressure (MAP), and myocardial filling pressures, accompanied by a fall in cardiac index (CI) with little change in heart rate (1). The changes are typically pronounced after the beginning of the carbon dioxide (CO2) insufflatio...

Safety Evaluation of Elderly Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy

Objectives: The most common indication for abdominal surgery in elderly (65 & older) is gallstone disease. The elderly are more prone to complication of such surgery due to their other co-morbidity and thus they may benefit mostly from a safer method of surgical procedure. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the safety and outcome of laparoscopic cholecystectomy in elderly compare to the c...
